We're always looking for new members!

All equipment and education will be supplied by the fire department. 

The Hubbardsville Fire Department is always receptive to interested

community members. If you would like to know more about the department,

our operations, and how to join we encourage you to contact us. We have positions available for those who are 14 or older. We also understand that family comes first and not everyone can always be at our functions.

Qualifications for Membership

18 years of age or older

Have a valid New York State 

driver's license

Have good moral character

In good health

Have  the ability to respond to alarms and attend meetings and training sessions

HVFD fire district resident

-or-

adjacent fire district resident

Member Responsibilities

Willing to learn and help the community

Promote good working relationship with other members and other organizations

Attend training/meetings to a reasonable extent

Observe all rules, regulations, by-laws,

and operating  guidelines

Successfully complete necessary coursework (Fire Fighter I or Scence Support) within first year of membership

Complete 8 hours of OSHA refresher and

4 hours of HAZMAT refresher each year
