A few HVFD members

The Hubbardsville Fire Department, or HVFD, is an all-volunteer organization situated in Hubbardsville, NY.
Our rural district is located in the southern end of Madison County in New York State. It borders the Brookfield Statelands and Chenango County.
We have 30 active members who allow us to provide fire suppression, rescue, ice water rescue, and emergency medical services to our friends and neighbors of the Hubbardsville fire district. 10 of these members are SCBA qualified with 9 of them being interior firefighters.
Our district of approximately 54 square miles and is one of the larger protection districts in central New York.
We are also committed to providing mutual aid assistance to our neighboring fire districts.
Our operations and equipment are based at our station on Green Road. This former Quaker church was converted to a fire station and has been our home since 1946 when HVFD was established.
In 2009, we had 84 hours of in-house training from local, county, and state levels.
We respond to approximately 100 emergency calls each year.
